Labor Day Weekend

A few highlights from a long weekend in Monterey and Carmel (a long time ago):

We met our friends from Orange County in Monterey for Labor Day weekend.  On the top of their list:  a leisurely tour along 17-mile drive.

We tasted wine at Georis and Talbott wineries in Carmel Valley before settling in to enjoy a foggy sunset at Mission Ranch.

Despite the clouds in the evening, it was an incredible summer day on the Monterey Bay.

A true black sheep

The next morning we visited the aquarium to see the sea horse exhibit one last time before it closes.  A new exhibit will be coming to the aquarium next Spring: Tentacles!

Our buddies were being fed right when we arrived.

Can't wait for the tentacles!

  1. I love this post! Beautiful photos of the Rey Bay, the wild life, and your wedding spot. I think you should schedule another visit to that great get-away location very soon.
