Time Change

This was my morning commute a few weeks ago:

Now it's like this:
Dark!
All kidding aside, it really is a lot darker in the mornings now, after the time change.  It is taking me a while to adjust, not only in the morning, but also at night: I notice I tend to stay up later right after we turn the clocks forward, since my body doesn't realize how late it is.  Who's with me?

Though we are currently being plagued with a 10-day streak of rain here in San Francisco, I am hopeful that soon we will be able to enjoy nice evenings out on the balcony.  That was what I loved most about the seasons turning over when we were in North Carolina.  Here, we will never get weather in the 90s (which is actually good...we also won't get mosquitos!), but I loved that we could eat dinner outside throughout most of the year in Carolina, enjoying the light evenings as well as the weather.

So while it looks drippy and cold outside today, I am instead going to picture this:

Our cute little balcony out back, during nicer weather.  Despite the current rain, we are now the proud owners of a little bistro set--table and chairs--in order to enjoy (nicer) evenings outside.  Just picture this:

Minus the pool!
I will have to take a picture of the actual outdoor space when the weather decides to turn itself around.  But despite this rain, I am still enjoying the balcony, where my expanding herb garden is flourishing, as well as the the extra light in the evening.

Now if only I could convince myself it's time to get up in the morning, despite it being pitch black outside....
