Lake Tahoe Shore

Happy Friday!  It has been a busy week at work, and I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend.  These photos from Monday's relaxing day off seem appropriate for my mood today!

Before skiing one day last year, it had been ten years since I had been on the slopes.  My ski pants even display my "Youth Age 13-17" lift ticket from 2002 to prove it.  (And speaking of my ski pants, Will tells me they are so outdated that they are almost back in style!)  Needless to say, I am still working my way back into skiing.  So by the time Monday of MLKJ weekend hit, my body had had enough skiing, and I just felt like relaxing.

So before leaving Tahoe, we took a long and leisurely walk along the shore, admiring the snow and icicles.

My favorite cold weather is when it's chilly but sunny.  It's so peaceful.

I love how the sun flare turned out in this photo
So peaceful.

And with that, we packed up the rental cabin and hit the road back to San Francisco.
Short weeks are pretty great--it's already Friday.
Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Beautiful! And yes, definitely peaceful. Do I need to get any kind of rights/permission clearance to make one of these my background? :) Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to be there in 2 weeks!

  2. Durham is going to get snow and freezing rain today... maybe I'll take some icicle photos here too!

    2. Stay warm there, David. Ice in Durham sounds like it calls for some Cards Against Humanity and some winter porters.
